We were watching season 4, episode 4 of “The Chosen”, ‘Calm Before’ and one of the most profound and humbling passages in the Bible was quoted from Isaiah 55:8-9:
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “As the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
These verses invite us to recognize the vast difference between human understanding and the divine perspective.
The Limitations of Human Understanding
In our daily lives, we often rely on our knowledge and experiences to navigate the world. Yet, Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us that there are limits to human wisdom. Our thoughts and ways are inherently finite, shaped by our immediate circumstances and limited perception.
