Let It Shine: Evening Daily Devotional

Grace to you & peace from God our Father & the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Let It Shine” is July 16 ‘s evening entry from Dr. David Jeremiah’s ‘Walking with God: 365 Daily Devotions’.

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." 2 Timothy 3:16

Is the Bible a road map you refer to when you need direction? Is it a spotlight that shines into the deepest corners of your heart and soul? Is it a coach that motivates you to persevere?

The Word of God is, in fact, all three. For it is through His Word that God directs you, convicts you, and encourages you.

The Bible is God’s timeless love letter to you. Because Scripture is inspired and comes from the eternal heart of God, it is both universal (all its truth applies to all people and all situations) and personal (all its truth applies directly to your life). Christians are uniquely blessed to have God’s Word readily accessible so we can know truth (right doctrine), so we can stay on the right track (reproof and correction), and so we can live to please God in everything we do (training in righteousness).

Are you spending time in God’s Word? Allowing God to give you the direction, light, and motivation you need? Be sure you set aside time to let God speak to you personally through the wonderful light of His Word.

To end, a quote from Hank, “[God] has sent us 66 love letters etched in Heavenly handwriting. And the more we meditate upon those Words, the clearer His voice will resonate.”

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
